Office workers in the One-North area, rejoice. You can now book in a casual dink session before, after, or even during work hours at PickleChoo Arena—a one-court, open-air gem built for social play and spontaneous rallies.

It's just one court, but it's charming, central, and perfect for a weekday refresh with your kakis.

What do you get when six secondary schoolmates try a new sport during a pandemic? A full-blown pickleball movement. 🏓☘️

It all started as a casual chat during COVID. By November 2023, that conversation turned into a paddle-in-hand experiment at NUSS. With borrowed gear, they were hooked within a few sessions—and the rest is Shamrock history.

From Hobby to Habit

The once-a-week play soon escalated. As friends invited friends, and Reclub came into the picture, the Shamrock Pickleball Club was born—named after their old school emblem. By August 2024, they expanded to outdoor courts at Delta, running sessions twice a week, three to four hours at a time.

They now host 26–36 players per session, attract DUPR 3+ to 4+ players, and even had a semi-pro from the US drop in for a game. Their vibe? Social, competitive, and always noisy—in the best way.

From animated cries of "Kill!" and "Die!" to meticulous net-centering rituals, Shamrock isn’t just a club—it’s a whole mood. And don't be fooled by the fun—they’ve also got podium placers in local and regional tournaments.

A Club With Character

These folks are committed—managing court bookings, collecting payments, and keeping things nonprofit and inclusive. The players? Mostly intermediate level, ranging from DUPR 3+ to 4+. The community? Wildly diverse, with a brief cameo from a visiting DUPR 5+ US semi-pro. Casual chat turned mini-empire.

Their tradition? Noise. Lots of it. Shouts of encouragement—or battle cries—echo across the courts. Think “Die!”, “Solid!”, and uncontainable laughter mid-rally. It's part gladiator pit, part reunion.

And for the founder? Nothing throws him off more than a net that isn’t perfectly centered. (We stan a man of precision.)
